In March 2017, The French Hospital’s premises were damaged by fire. As a result, two flats were taken out of service for several months whilst work was carried out to re-instate them. Simon Jenkinson was appointed to support us through the process of rebuilding — and in particular to enable relations between the Charity and its insurers.

Simon was fully engaged and supportive from the start. After an initial visit, he took a firm lead in the relationship with our insurers, giving them (and us) confidence in him and his approach. There is no doubt that this made a huge difference to the way in which the project progressed. Simon’s knowledge and experience were of great value to The French Hospital and his professional view was clearly much respected by the insurance company. As a result, progress in the reconstitution works was as swift as it could have been, and without contention.
